ニューヨーク在住。パーソンズ・スクール・オブ・デザイン卒業後、フリーランスのジュエリーデザイナーとして、Escada等の世界的ファッションブランド、宝飾ブランドを経て、1997年『Akiyo Matsuoka』ブランドを立ち上げ、米国を中心とする世界の高級デパートやセレクトショップにて、オリジナルジュエリーの販売を展開。
2018年、3Dプリントのジュエリーブランド『Leona NY』を設立。
ニューヨーク、FIT(ファッション工科大学)、パーソンズ・スクール・オブ・デザイン准教授。プラット・インスティテュート非常勤講師。
Coach, Tiffany & Co. Harry Winston, Tory Burc, Ralph Laurenをはじめとするファッション、宝飾ブランドからの依頼により、Rhinoを使用したモデリング指導、商品開発アドバイスに携わる。ファッション関係以外にも、多業界にわたる3Dモデリング指導に従事。デザインの多様化、効率化、革新的アプローチにチャレンジする各分野のアメリカ企業をサポートしている。

Akiyo graduated from Parsons School of Design. After working as a freelance jewelry designer for global fashion brands such as Escada and prestigious jewelry brands, she founded ‘Akiyo Matsuoka’ brand in 1997. The brand expanded its original jewelry sales in high-end department stores and specialty stores worldwide.
In 2018, Akiyo established the 3D-printed jewelry brand ‘Leona NY.’
Assistant professor at FIT (Fashion Institute of Technology), Parsons School of Design, and Pratt Institut in New York City.
She provides Rhino 3D modeling instruction and offers product development advice to jewelry and fashion brands such as Coach, Tiffany & Co., Harry Winston and Ralph Lauren.
Akiyo is actively involved in various industries and fields in the U.S., providing training to companies as they explore design diversification, improve efficiency, and adopt innovative approaches.

購入当初から、アメリカ宝飾業界のスタンダードであったこと。デザイン過程でのワックス、金属などのマテリアル廃棄がなく、データ編集が手軽に出来、時間、コスト短縮につながる。３Dプリンターで出力することにより、３Dデザインの可視化が容易に出来る。1/1000ｍｍの正確なモデリングが可能であること。
初期のスケッチから始まり、アイデアの展開、正確なモデリング、プレゼンテーション、レンダリングまで、デザインプロセスを強力に支えてくれる。他のプログラムとの汎用性が高く、プログラム間の行き来が可能。低コストでにもかかわらず、コストパフォーマンスが非常に高い優れたプログラムであること。
From the initial purchase, it has been a standard in the jewelry industryin the U.S.
There is no waste of materials such as wax and metal in the design process, enabling data editing and leading to time and cost savings. Outputting through a 3D printer allows for easy visualization of 3D designs. It also enables precise modeling with an accuracy of 1/1000 mm.
Rhino provides robust support throughout the design process, starting from the initial sketches, idea development, precise modeling, and all the way to presentations and renderings. Its high versatility allows seamless integration with other programs, facilitating smooth transitions between them. Despite its low cost, it is an outstanding program with remarkably high cost-effectiveness.
