"I researched days upon days which 2D architectural program would complement my knowledge and work flow. What surprised me was my answer did not result in a stand alone architectural application but rather a set of plug-ins for Adobe Illustrator (which happens to be my program of choice for 2D design). I use Hot Door CADtools mainly for the wall tool/dimensioning, Hot Door patterns to illustrate hardwood floors, stone and tile patterns, and Code Zebra for their object library shapes such as fixtures, appliances, doors, windows, and foliage. Using this specific combination helps me achieve the look and feel I want for my projects and never disappoints my clients."
